Solving a big WiFi Hurdle for Meetings, Events, and Activations
After getting hands-on, this our impression of the new 4G Mega Internet Kit
More than ever, attendees of live experiences have expanded their use of mobile event apps, personal live streams, and social media. To meet their attendees’ expectations, organizers expect seamless, fast, and reliable internet connections.
Yet, for business critical meetings, relying solely on a hotel’s WiFi is risky. For non-traditional brand activations, fast broadband connections may not be available.
Here in our studios, our team recently got hands-on with a new solution for these WiFi challenges: Tradeshow Internet’s 4G Mega Internet Kit.
The 4G Mega Internet Kit was first introduced during InfoComm 2016. It is the same size as a computer desktop, yet it covers 10,000 square feet, supports up to 100 concurrent users, and provides broadband speeds up to 20-80 Mbps downloads and 20-40 Mbps uploads.
How does it work?
Tradeshow Internet deploys a proprietary solution that bonds 10 individual 4G LTE connections from Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile into a single, secure WiFi network for your attendees. If one provider’s has weak or slow LTE service, the others pick up the slack. If your attendees are heavy bandwidth users, the kit can balance and split the load across all of the LTE providers.
What you do not need is just as impressive as what you get. With this kit, we do not need deep IT experience, venue permission, Ethernet drops, or DSL/T1 lines.
And that is just the beginning. In the near future, 5G cellular connections will make the Kit faster, stronger, and able to support many more simultaneous users.
